Initiatives and Projects
Reduce Crime: Prevent crime, work with local police and reduce the fear of crime.
Sharing Crime Alerts: Distributing local police alerts and safety warnings regarding recent burglaries, scams, or anti-social behaviour.
Community Group Cohesion: Working with other local groups, attending various local meetings held by other organisations, having meetings with other group leaders and members, and many of our committee members are from various other local community groups, charities and organisations. We do this to create unity, cohesions, idea sharing, problem solving, governance and overall, a happier, safer, welcoming community.
Make Change for Residents: We listen to residents through public meetings, our WhatsApp community, feedback forums, one-to-one coffee chats and feedback forms and strive to adapt and improve Queen’s Park Trust and our neighbourhood as much as we are able to do and if we can’t, we liaise with the council, QPCC, police, councillors or other organisations to campaign for the changes required.
Improving Home Security: Sharing advice on crime prevention, such as property marking, securing doors and windows, and providing many guidance documents on crime prevention. We offer the loaning of property marking pens.
Acting as Eyes and Ears: Monitoring the local area for suspicious and unwanted activity, unusual behaviour, signs of trouble, abandoned items, graffiti, dog waste and safely reporting these to the authorities.
Happy Projects: Each month we run a happy project such as sunflower growing competitions or starting a shared neighbourhood game.
Signposting: We support residents on working with police or council with matters including repairs, ASB, crimes and much more. Queen's Park Trust do have direct lines of communication with local police, councillors, Westminster Council and QPCC and have built up a network of individuals who support us.
Fostering Community Connection: Hosting social events and initiatives that bring neighbours together to reduce loneliness, vulnerability, and isolation.
Acts of Kindness: Promoting community spirit through showing and encouraging kindness to our fellow residents.
Hunt the Mascot: We have a pottery mascot Fox named Kewpie (QP) who hides in people’s gardens around the avenues. See the local events page for more information and to join in the fun.
Keeping Queen’s Park Pretty: We organise and do litter picking, plant up and maintain the tree pit bases
Keeping residents informed: Using our membership subscriptions, WhatsApp community and website, we inform residents on many local issues such as news, crimes, local events, items for sale nearby, activities, groups, local meetings and much much more.
Canal Watch: We run a regularly active blog with comprehensive information and photos on the canal and local wildlife featured on our website.
Providing Training Courses and Entertainment Activities: We run free courses and activities for locals and work with other organisations and charities to provide a range of training courses and entertainment activities.
Targeting Anti-Social Behaviour: Running campaigns and training to address local anti-social behaviour and harassment.
We do so much more and are always listening and progressing with more ideas and projects all the time! See our newsletters and monthly progress reports for more of what we do and please do consider volunteering with us so we can achieve more and share any ideas you have for us!

Campaigning for change
While we are constantly working on new and exciting projects, we are also considering how the neighbourhood functions effectively for the majority of our residents.
Whilst we do not encourage campaigning for the sake of campaigning, there are times when residents need to stand together and be heard. At Queen's Park Trust, we are here to listen to the challenges residents face and communicate these to relevant parties. Do contact us if there is anything concerning your comfort to enjoy living within this neighbourhood and we will consider each individual on a unique basis.
