Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fuelled by a deep passion to help local residents and make this neighbourhood even better than it is. As a small community trust, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to caring about your concerns. If you have any questions which are not answered below, please do feel free to get in touch.

What is a community trust?

A community trust is a non-profit organisation often managed by local residents, that owns, manages, or supports assets to achieve long-term social, environmental, or economic benefits for a specific local area. These trusts are generally independent, aiming for sustainable regeneration and community improvement.

What does the Queen's Park Trust do?

We offer membership to local residents through a Neighbourhood Watch Group and a Community WhatsApp and work with a local Residents' Association to find solutions to support the community, for individuals and for the area as a whole.

Does membership cost?

Although we would really appreciate donations to contribute towards resources to making this neighbourhood cleaner, safer and more attractive, we do not currently charge for membership.

What types of membership do you have in Queen's Park Trust?

You can be a member of the Queen's Park Neighbourhood Watch and receive email updates or join the Queen's Park Community WhatsApp and receive WhatsApp update to your phone. Both these memberships can be done through us and you can be a member of either option or both if you like.

What can I do if the WhatsApp Group has too many messages?

There are a few different groups on the Community WhatsApp so you can control the conversations you are part of. If you like to chat, join the general chat group, if you want to connect with your closer neighbours or know what is happening right on your street, join a group for your street. There is a sustainability group to see what green projects we are getting involved in, or is happening in the local area. If you just want to know about crime and don't like many messages, then do feel free to just join the Neighbourhood Watch WhatsApp group which is more for crime and safety.

If the messaging really isn't something you want, rather than leave the community WhatsApp group, please do consider muting the messages to view another time because the higher the number of residents in our group, the more support and funding we get access to for the Queen's Park Ward.

How can I be of help?

If you would like to offer time or funding to help us support the community, we would be very grateful, please do send an email.
